Emsie Sharp studied glass at West Surrey College of Art and Design, completing her BA Hons. degree in 1996.

She has worked in many different studios around the world, including 3 years on the Island of Murano, Venice, where she assisted with the making of wine glasses and chandeliers.

Since returning to England in 2002 she has her own glassblowing studio in Dorset where she has developed her skills and techniques to make both decorative and abstract work.


Emsie specialises in stem ware and most recently has been working together with the National Trust at Mompesson House, contributing to their exhibition of 18th century wine glasses. 

Emsie was recently comissioned by the BBC in colaboration with the National Trust to produce georgian inspired wine glasses for thier series 'The Manor Reborn' which was aired during december 2011.
